Oh Great Spirit, whose voice I hear in the wind.
Whose eyes smile at me thru the warm sunshine.
Who guides my footsteps thru the darkest night
with the bright moonlight.
Who wipes my sweat with the cool summer rain.
I am crying, hear my voice, protect me from the forces of ill.
Hold my hand so that I may grow straight and tall,
Let the work of my hands be for the people,
Let my heart be your love of all things,
Let my words comfort and strengthen in times of sorrow,
Let me never forget, that all things are from you,
loved by you, and belong to you.
Let me walk in a way that is pleasing to the ancestors,
Let me think not of myself, but of the generations to come,
Let me listen for guidance in all of creation,
And when my soul reaches the end of this flesh journey
Let me meet you with straight eyes and clean hands.
